NACDA Consulting has established an effective network that allows us to gather important information to assist the institution in evaluating athletic administrators and head football coaches.
Athletic Director
In providing service to institutions, NACDA Consulting will assist the chief executive officer and/or the designated representative to construct an effective search process unencumbered by media scrutiny and outside interests. Our primary goal in conducting a personnel search, in addition to identifying quality candidates, is to operate in a manner to eliminate embarrassment for either the individual or the institution involved. By maintaining communication with the institution’s designated representative, NACDA Consulting creates an informed and efficient evaluation process.
As a result of our experience in intercollegiate athletics, NACDA Consulting is conversant with the needs of institutions and what is required to assume a position of responsibility and importance to lead an athletic program. Our contacts we have developed enable NACDA Consulting to identify qualified individuals who have been successful and effective athletic administrators.
Once retained by an institution in a search for a director of athletics search, NACDA Consulting will spend two or three days on campus in order to study the athletic program and observe its operation and organization. We will conduct interviews with a wide range of institutional personnel to better understand the institution’s objectives for its athletic program with the intention to effectively represent the institution’s interests in its search for a director of athletics.
Interim Athletic Director
The transition period as universities or colleges change athletic directors can at times be difficult to navigate. One of the innovative services offered by NACDA Consulting is the ability to utilize our roster of former Athletic Director’s to serve in an interim basis. The interim athletic director can maintain the continuity of day-to-day activities and provide a smooth transition for the new athletic director.
Our consultants are all former athletic directors and have the experience and knowledge to step in on an interim basis and provide leadership and direction through the transition period. NACDA Consulting can provide an interim athletic director for up to six months, if required by the institution.
Head Coach
NACDA Consulting’s primary goal in conducting a head coaching search, in addition to identifying quality candidates, is to operate anonymously and maintaining confidential communication with the institution’s designated representative. This process ensures in creating an informed and efficient evaluation process unencumbered by media scrutiny and outside interests. Working closely with the institution’s designated representative, NACDA Consulting will establish communication on a confidential basis and serve as a conduit for information between potential coaching candidates and the client. It may eventually be necessary to follow more formal channels of communication, so that the institution can interview potential candidates in person.
It is our preference to operate as anonymously as possible in conducting a coaching search, which helps insure confidentiality. NACDA Consulting does not respond to media inquiries regarding an assignment, unless the institution publicly identifies our involvement. To maintain confidentiality, NACDA Consulting negotiates directly with the potential candidate(s) and representative of the institution.
